This Privacy Policy explains how StreamBos (“StreamBos”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use our website and application (the “Service”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data transparently.

1. Information We Collect

• Account information — a username and password you set when registering. We do not require an email address to use the core application.
• Media you provide — the video and audio files you upload or import, along with their metadata (names, duration, format).
• Streaming credentials — YouTube stream keys and, if you connect your channel, OAuth tokens for the YouTube Data API. These are used solely to broadcast and manage your streams.
• Operational data — logs, stream status, uptime, and system metrics (CPU, bandwidth, storage) used to operate and troubleshoot the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and provide the streaming, scheduling, playlist, and mastering features.
• To broadcast your media to YouTube Live and keep streams running reliably.
• To display status, analytics, and system health in your dashboard.
• To diagnose issues and improve the reliability and performance of the Service.

3. Data Storage & Security

When you self-host StreamBos, all data — including media, credentials, and the database — is stored on your own infrastructure and never transmitted to us. Passwords are hashed, and stream secrets are stored securely. For managed hosting, data is encrypted in transit over HTTPS and stored on access-controlled servers.

4. Third-Party Services

StreamBos integrates with third-party services only at your direction:

• YouTube / Google APIs — to stream and manage your live broadcasts. Your use is also governed by Google's Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service.
• Google Drive — optional, to import media you choose to download.
• AI providers (roadmap) — upcoming AI features may send content prompts to AI model providers (such as Anthropic) to generate titles, descriptions, and other assets. This will only occur for features you actively use.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the third-party services you connect, as needed to deliver the features you request, or where required by law.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete your media, disconnect integrations, or remove your account at any time, which deletes the associated data.

7. Your Rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. For self-hosted deployments you have full control over all stored data. For managed hosting, contact us to exercise these rights.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
